One of the function of the Implastation software is the conversion DICOM-file into STL-surface. You may convert either full CT or its fragment. Conversion can be performed for different displayed density levels of CT, named «treshhold».
This function is used for:
– printing of demonstration models;
– printing of training models for complex interventions;
– printing of surfaces for forming titanium membranes;
– printing of surfaces for the elements preparation in orthognathic operations;
– teeth segmentation for orthodontic treatment planning.
Downloading the converted STL-file is included in the free functionality of the program. Now the program allows you to operate with 8 stl-files. This restriction will be removed in the next version of the program.
