This case shows a three-dimensional bone defect, in which, with the usual technique of tomography, it is impossible to align the STL surface. There are auxiliary methods using X-ray contrast patterns. One solution is to carry out a CT scan together with a silicone impression in the mouth.
The project is planned in the ImplaStation soft. The software allows you to perform the alignment of the STL-surface with CT using simple X-ray contrast patterns.
