Dental implantation planing with extensive defects on the lower jaw.

Dental implantation planing with extensive defects on the lower jaw.
Teeth 4.3 were used to fix the guide during the operation. To accurately determine the contours of the mucosa, CT was performed with a silicone impression in the patient’s mouth.
Later the same impression was used to obtain an optical scan.
Such a technique allows the most accurate comparison of tomography and optical scanning data.

Implantation and surgical guide are planned in the ImplaStation software.

Useful function of setting a negative V-factor in the ImplaStation program.

This case is an example of implantation with the help of a surgical guide in a limited bone situation.

The ImplaStation program includes the function of setting negative V-factor, which allows an accurate and non-traumatic preparation of the cortical bone from the maxillary sinus side.

The drill planning manager considers the actual dimensions of the drill and guide sleeve. It allows you to set the drill aperture shift relative to the implant apex (the extreme apical point of the drill is connected with the implant apex).

Implantation with a limited bone offering. Upper jaw – 5 implants.

A main feature of this case is the deficit of the bone suggestion in the first square. The patient did not agree to do sinus lifting. There was a disintegration of an implant in area 16 in the anamnesis.

After the implant was removed, the hole was filled with an unknown bone material.
Bone offer in the 16 area is 6 mm, in the 17 – 3 mm.
It was decided to install implants 5.0×7 in 16 and 4.0×10 in the area of the tuber maxillae.
During the operation, there was not satisfacted primary stabilization in the 16 area , due to the fact that the augmentation was not replaced by bone tissue (for 8 years).
